Damon® Braces
Damon® braces were invented by Dr. Dwight Damon. The Damon® bracket utilizes (sliding-door) technology known as “self-ligation” that allows the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket.

No elastic or steel ties are used with Damon® brackets. This technology creates less friction and results in greater comfort for the patient. In addition, Damon® braces often reduce both treatment time and the number of adjustments that are usually performed.
Invisalign
Having a confident smile can change everything. And Invisalign makes the decision easy, because you can get a stunning smile without most people even noticing you’re going through treatment. The Invisalign® System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to patients with certain orthodontic problems. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign® system.

Damon Braces
If you’re hoping for more inconspicuous, comfortable, and hygienic braces, Damon braces are the way to go. This appliance doesn’t just straighten teeth—it also enhances your facial aesthetics by considering your face, profile, and other factors during treatment.

How They Work
Damon braces set themselves apart by being self-litigating. In other words, they eliminate the need for elastic or metal “ties” holding the wires to your brackets. Instead, high-tech shape-memory wires move teeth into place, resulting in a quicker process.

Patients choose Damon for the increased treatment effectiveness and decreased visibility. The appliance speeds up treatment to the point of cutting needed appointments with us nearly in half. Plus, Damon braces are friction-free, which is better for your teeth. Length of Treatment

Invisalign
How It Works
Your smile will be scanned to produce a 3D image of your teeth. Your orthodontist will map out necessary shifts and show you a preview of your goal smile when finalizing your unique digital plan.

Invisalign creates your custom aligners using a high-tech 3D printing process. The Invisalign SmartTrack material allows their clear aligners to be more flexible and a better fit for more accurate alignment.
​
You will then receive a series of Invisalign clear aligners. Each one will adjust a specific point in your mouth—a process that takes two to three weeks to complete. It’s normal to feel some pressure or discomfort during the first few days. Once the movement has been made, you switch to the next aligner, and so on. You’ll schedule an appointment with us every six to eight weeks to check your progress.

Unlike braces, you can eat all the foods you like, brush and floss without any additional hassle, and play sports and other activities worry-free. Brackets and wires breaking cause additional emergency visits that you avoid with the simplicity of clear aligners.

Length of Treatment
On average, adults use Invisalign for about one year; teens wear the aligners for one to two years. However, this brand of clear aligners has reduced treatment time to as little as three months, so the length depends on a case-by-case basis. Recent developments in optical technology have changed the game entirely: Using the iTero scanner, your orthodontist can now scan a perfect digital impression of your teeth and gums without the seemingly-suffocating tray and putty.

The scanner creates an instant 3D model of your teeth, making for a quicker and more comfortable impression experience without retakes or distortions. The speed and precision of the digital model improves communication during consultation and accuracy in treatment.

How It Works
The iTero scanner is a hand-held wand that digitally captures your teeth and soft tissue structures. It is compact, which means you canbreathe and swallow naturally, and your orthodontist can stop the process at any time to give you a break between pictures.

The system involves a radiation-free laser that renders a perfect 3D impression within two to three minutes. This impression allows for a precise fit for any orthodontic treatment, including retainers or aligners such as Invisalign.
